Community and Technical Colleges are the vehicle for access to so many people in their communities. As an administrator in higher education, a mother, and a wife, giving back to my community is vitally important. I especially love working with children in elementary schools giving them an opportunity to see college in their future. The college serves as a partner with the community for the success of our cities, towns, states, and country.
Heart disease is the #1 killer of women in the United States. To help raise awareness I am excited to join the American Heart Association's Executive Committee for the 2019 Syracuse Go Red for Women Campaign.
My participation as a member of the Central New York Arts Foundation Board engages the community in arts education programming, festivals, and partnerships with local businesses. I am currently starting my second term with this fantastic organization.
We aspire to build an inclusive future for those battling poverty in the City of Syracuse. Our goal is to create pathways of opportunities for underserved populations with support from Governor Cuomo's Empire State Poverty Reduction Initiative.
