While serving as Dean of Academic Studies at Lee College in Baytown, Texas, I had the privilege of working with faculty from the Honors College to start the first National Model United Nations (NMUN) group. This picture is the inaugural group of students on their first trip to NMUN in Washington, D.C.
Graduation is my favorite time of the year. This year, due to the pandemic, we celebrated our students with a car parade. Over 200 students and their families participated in the event. What a day!
My first time escorting a group of students overseas was to China for 14 days. We visited the Great Wall, the Beijing Language and Cultural Institute, and Hangzhou. The students enjoyed learning about the history and culture of China and its relationship with the US. We also enjoyed wonderful cuisines and activities that will never be forgotten.
